WATERSHED MANAGEMENT

LIST has derived the permanent solution to attain “water prosperity” for the land lies in the adoption of watershed management practices by the farming community. Awareness drives have been strengthened on the main components in watershed management such as land management, water management and biomass management. The focus was laid on structural, vegetative, production and protection measures in land management and rain water Harvesting, Ground, water recharge, maintenance of water balance, preventing water pollution, economic use of water etc through the activities and programs by the farmers of Rayagada District.
